Welcome to the web page of St John's Church, Guernsey

If you are a visitor,

A newcomer to the island,

Or a regular member;

You will find here details of our regular church services and activities with an up to date list of specific activities this month. You can be sure of a warm welcome at St John's and homely worship in a friendly and relevant structure.

Sundays at St John's begin at 9:30 with Family Fun & Worship, a very informal service with parents and children in mind. Together we explore a theme for each week through songs, stories, prayers and craft. We meet in the church hall opposite the main church building in Les Amballes. If you're up early you can join us for a simple cereal and toast breakfast at 9:10! The service starts at 9:30 and finishes by 10:30.

At 10:30 in the Church building our desire is to worship God in a heartfelt way. We follow a modern style of service with good traditional hymns and the best of today's devotional songs. Our aim is to apply the relevance of the Christian faith to our daily lives. Twice a month we also share the bread & wine of Holy Communion. Prayer for healing is offered at all of our services.

The Vicar of St John's Church is the Rev Andrew Sharp, who has been an ordained minister in the Church of England for 21 years. With his wife and family they have served in Scarborough and Luton before coming to Guernsey in 1998.
Andrew is also Senior Vice Dean of Guernsey, a trustee of La Monnaie Christian Healing Fellowship in Guernsey, and the associate minister of the Island Churches Guernsey Festival Chorus.
